The Thunderbirds of Sonoma was formed in January of 1970 by Frank
Furnish. Mr. Furnish was a California Highway Patrolman and while
on patrol Frank stopped any two seater Thunderbird to see if the owner
was interested in starting a club. Read more in our "History of the Club" link at left. The club is dedicated to the
1955-1956-1957 Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds of Sonoma became Chapter 33 of the
Classic Thunderbird Club International. Besides members living in
Sonoma County we have members living in Napa and Marin Counties as well that
join us at our monthly meetings. All are welcome.
